Drawing anime eyes

Welcome to my blog.

The eyes of anime characters are really the distinguishing point. All anime is well known for the big round glossy eyes. So how do you draw them and make them look great? Well, you came to the right place.

So lets get started.
there are many different kinds of anime eyes, each with different methods and designs. Lets also not forget that practice does make perfect so if it doesn't come out the way you want it the first time, just try again and you will surely get the hang of it, once you do the fun will have just begun.

1.

Lets begin with the most basic of anime eyes, which would be the large female eyes. Start off by drawing a curved line that is slightly thicker toward the end. This will be for the right eye.

2.

Next we will draw the lower part of the eye. To help place the lower half, draw a diagnol lines pointing down, the steepness will determine how large and wide your eyes will be. It should slope down to the right a little and be thicker on the corner.

3.

Now you will want to erase your guidelines and draw an oval in th center of your eye. The size is up to you depending on how you would like your eyes to look and the size you are going for.

4.

Now we will draw the outline for our light glares. all anime eyes should have some light glare. Make sure to choose a light source and stick with it through out the drawing. Draw to long ovals one on the left side of the iris and a very small one on the other side of the eye.

5.

Next you will want to draw the pupil. To do this you will draw the pupil underneath the glares of the light. Make sure your highlights are always on top. Don't forget to include your eyelashes.

6.

Now for the shading. It is very dark at the top of the iris and lighter on the bottom. Draw her eyebrow also which will also have a cure like in step 1.

Thats it! You just drew your first anime eye. Hope you enjoyed.
